The 4 of Doet”- July 26, 2025: In 4 hours, mountain biking as many laps as possible in the Giessenburg park.
July 21, there is a knock on my door. Arjan van der Vlist, an acquaintance of the village, stands in bike suit at my door.
He has spontaneously organized a new event “ The 4 of Doet”. With some help from the Orange Brigade, the local cycling club, the event is scheduled to take place that Saturday.
As with other events, he plans to support a local charity with proceeds from the “third half.”.
He heard about our foundation through word of mouth, so he thought it would be nice to support it in this 1e edition of “The 4 of Does.”.
Wow! What a super initiative!
The foundation is not even officially live yet and already there is a spontaneous initiative. So incredibly cool.
Saturday, July 26, was the day. About 40 cyclists crosstrained through the park for 4 hours, hoping to put the most laps on the counter. It was a true battle of attrition.
Afterwards there was soda, beer and a small snack and the proceeds were for the foundation. It was a very successful event, a pleasant third half.
With staggering proceeds of no less than 550 euros!
