More than just a flea market

As a young foundation, we are constantly looking for ways to raise awareness of our mission. Not only to raise donations, but especially to tell people why the Moyo Care Foundation exists and what impact we can create together.

When the Rommelmarkt in Giessenburg came up, we saw a great opportunity. We asked the organization if we could set up a table to introduce our foundation to visitors. Fortunately, they responded enthusiastically.

Not long after that, another particularly interesting message followed.

The organization had decided to donate part of the proceeds from the flea market to a number of charities. Organizations could be nominated, and of course we nominated the Moyo Care Foundation.

Just before the flea market, we received the wonderful news that our young foundation had been selected as one of the five charities that would receive a contribution.

We were surprised. And especially: extremely grateful.

On the day itself, we had many interesting conversations. We were able to talk about our mission, explain how we work, and show that every contribution directly benefits people who desperately need medical care in Zimbabwe.

In addition, it was particularly impressive to see the enormous involvement of all the volunteers and visitors. The sense of community that such a village day brings is something to be proud of.

At the end of the day, we were allowed to receive a check from € 2.350 to receive it.

A wonderful amount, with which we can take another step in our mission to provide people in Zimbabwe with access to essential medical care.

Everyone who organized the flea market, volunteered, donated items, bought something, or in any other way contributed: thank you.

You have not only provided a financial contribution, but also shown what is possible when a community works together for a good cause.

That gives me confidence. For now and for the future.
