Under the warm sun of Zimbabwe, I met Pilate - his situation touched me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was seriously ill, too weak to walk. Alone. Vulnerable.
After he came out of the hospital, Simon and I caught him in our country cottage. Simon was the contact with the doctor; I took care of Pilate daily. I cooked for him, washed him, changed his bed, did his laundry and kept him some company. Meanwhile, we took care of: hospital bills, clothes, care products, incontinence materials, gloves, Vaseline....<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Something we, fortunately, were able to do at that time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, Simon told me, that: \u201cAbout 90% of the people in Zimbabwe do not have health insurance. They simply cannot afford it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Many people barely have access to just basic care. That's where the seed was planted with me. Because I believe - no, I KNOW - that there are many people like me. \ud83d\udc9b As long as they hear the story...<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n That's where my mission starts. \ud83c\udf31 The seed of Moyo Care - A story from the heart<\/p>\n\n\n\n It all started in March 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Beneath the warm sun of Zimbabwe, I met Pilate - his situation touched me. Simon was the contact with the doctor, I took care of Pilate daily. I cooked for him, washed him, changed his bed, did the laundry, and kept him company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile, we took care of: hospital bills, clothing, personal care products, incontinence supplies, gloves, Vaseline....<\/p>\n\n\n\n Something that we, fortunately, could do at that moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n However, Simon told me that: \u201cApproximately 90% of people in Zimbabwe have no health insurance. Not because they don't deserve help - but simply because they were born in a place where care is a luxury. <\/p>\n\n\n\n There has the seed planted. A seed of hope. Of care. Of connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A seed that is now sprouting in the form of the Moyo Care Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Because I believe - no, I know - that there are many people like me.
